Das ist der abgenommene Kopf. Wenn man nun den Rüssel abnimmt (nächstes Bild) und die Augen zusammendrückt, kommt das Gehirn raus, das ist der matschige Klumpen am unteren Bildrand. Auf dem Bild darunter sieht man, wie es eigentlich aussieht, wenn man es in Pufferlösung legt.
Aufgepiekst auf der Pinzettenspitze ist der leere Fliegenkopf, SOOOO klein sind die! *brrr*

This is the severed head. And now you can pull the noozle out of the head (below) and push the eyes in. The brain is the white pulp below the head, and the next pic shows it in the buffer solution: I placed the brain in PBS, you can nicely see the original structure with the two lobes on either side.
On the bottom picture, I put the empty head on the tip of my forceps. It's THAT small.
