Prime(r) Time

Heute habe ich eine Masse Primer designed und frage mich, warum ich nie vorher die tolle primer3-Seite des MIT dafür benutzt habe?! (Ich weiß die URL gerade nicht auswendig, googelt einfach "primer3".) Jetzt kann ich mittels RT-PCR überprüfen, wie gut meine Zellen vom FACS sortiert werden. Wie das funktioniert, erzähle ich Euch, wenn's geklappt hat.

Und jetzt habe ich ein Geständnis zu machen: Nach dem ironischen, semi-postmodernen Eintrag über New York ("Oh, ich bin so meta, ich betreibe Touristen-Tourismus...") muß ich gestehen, dass ich NATÜRLICH auch 10000 Wolkenkratzer-Fotos gemacht habe. Verdammt, ich habe die blöde Freiheitsstatue alleine ganze 11 Mal fotografiert! Aber die Fotos sind schön geworden, daher geht es jetzt ohne Umschweife zur Photoshow: Empire State, Chinatown, Jetze und die Freiheitsstatue, Viermaster "Peking" am Pier 17, NY Börse.

Doch, einen hab ich noch: Lernerfahrung! Macht keinen Kaffee in der Microwelle heiß, indem ihr den Timer auf "unbegrezt" setzt, und geht dann 10 Minuten mit der Labor-Gasmaske spielen. Die Scheiße kocht über und ihr müßt anschließend die MW putzen.

Today, I designed a lot of primers, and never knew there was this nice primer3-site from the MIT for that! Now I can validate the efficiency of my cell sort using RT-PCR, and how that works I'll explain when it works (presumably Friday), so hang tight!

And now I have a confession to make: After my Oh-so-postmodern, ironic blog entry ("Look, I'm so meta, I am a tourism-tourist, taking pictures of people!"), I feel oblidged to tell y'all that I, too, took about a gazillion pictures of skyscrapers. Hell, I photographed that Statue of Liberty alone 11 times already! But the photos are nice, so without further ado, here is my album: Empire State, Chinatown, Jetze and Miss Liberty, sail ship "Peking" at Pier 17, NY Stock Exchange.

(Oh, one more thing: Don't heat coffee in the microwave using the "endless" setting adn then go play with the lab gas mask for 10 minutes. The shit will boil and spill all over the place and you've to clean the MW afterwards.)
