Star Struck

Today, Karolinska received a visit from one of the biggest names in science: Dr James Watson of Harvard University, discoverer of the DNA double helix (with Francis Crick and Rosalind Franklin) gave a talk on "How to avoid boring people". I had a chance to talk to the old fellow afterwards, saying something brilliant like "Thank you Professor, it's an honor to meet you. You're in all my text books." That must have left an impression ;-)
But I think Professor Watson's mind is no longer in "mint condition", with theses such as "Einstein had autism", and "Take only courses where you get an A". At least he didn't fly off the handle like he did in Boston last year: http://www.spiegel.de/wissenschaft/mensch/0,1518,512455,00.html
